Lucinda "Cindy" Crawford Johnson

Lucinda Loraine "Cindy" Johnson 77, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at The Wexford House. Cindy was a graduate of Church Hill High School and worked at the Kingsport Press for Over 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of Fort Robinson Baptist Church where she was proud to sing in the choir. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Brancha and Bertha Crawford. Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Robert Johnson III; sister, Mary Lois Pierce; brothers, Joe Crawford and Ralph Crawford; nieces, Tammy Crawford and Vicki Winstead; along with a host of family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of The Wexford House, the support of many friends and family, and deepest gratitude to longtime friend Mary Berry for her compassionate care for many years. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11:30am to 1:30 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Frank Proffitt officiating. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park with John Hensley, Brad Berry, Bart Berry, Josh Thurman, Mike Bays, and Jimmy Artrip serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home is serving the Johnson family.
