Lucinda Thrasher
December 30th, 1951 - October 21st, 2002
" Lucinda “Lu” (Holder) Thrasher, 50, of Silva St, died peacefully at home on Monday after a long illness. Born in Corpus Christi, TX, she was the daughter of William Holder, Jr. of TX and Beverly Jo Holder of Brimfield. Lu moved to Monson in 1981, and was employed in the human resources dept of Bay State Medical Center as an administrative assistant. She loved high fashion and proved it by the extent of her wardrobe. She also spent many hours horseback riding, another love. Lu's presence lit up a room, and her grace and poise was awe inspiring Lu was a devoted wife to Edwin “Larry” Thrasher, Jr. for over 20 years, a loving mother of Kristy Ann Gaulin of Sinton, TX and Danielle R. Thrasher of Palmer. She was the loving grandmother of Kelsey, Andrew and Evan Gaulin, and caring sister to William E. Holder of Orange Grove, TX. Lu was also a loving aunt and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her special caregivers, Tracy “Rocky” Whitney of Palmer, Kathy Beavin of Springfield, and Jeannie Bonsall of Belchertown, along with her Hospice Caregiver, Ann Clough. A celebration of her life will be on Thurs. at 1:00 p.m. in the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Monson. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00—1:00 on Thursday. The family requests that you omit flowers, and make donations to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 103 Fairview St., Palmer, MA 01069 in her memory. "
