Luis G. Nuno, 86, longtime resident of Monterey County since 1949, passed away on May 12, 2012 in Salinas. He was born on May 20, 1925 in Jalisco, Mexico. Luis was a parishoner of St. Theodore's Catholic Church in Gonzales. Luis previously worked in agriculture as a tractor driver for over 20 years. He enjoyed BBQ's, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucy M. Nuno of Gonzales daughter, Pauline Flores of Santa Clara sons, Luis Nuno of Republic, Washington Steven Nuno of Rockin Arthur Nuno of Virginia Beach, Virginia grandchildren, Crystal, Pauline, Ivy, Erin, Robert, Michelle, Angela, Stephanie and April great-grandson, Kai He is preceded in death by his son, George Nuno in 1991 3 sisters and 1 brother Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 1-9pm with a Rosary recital at 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Mass will take place at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Drive Salinas, CA 93906. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93905.
