Luong Tu Nham

Luong Tu Nham, a dedicated and hardworking individual, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, in South Hadley, MA, at the age of 78. Born on May 17, 1946, in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son.

Luong was predeceased by his parents, Thieu Phung and Bang Nham, and his sister, Becky Tso. He is survived by his loving wife, Young Nham Diep; his son, Long Nham, and his wife, Hoa Ly; his cherished grandson, Ashton Nham; his sisters, Bich Gueng and Van Bich Lu; and his brother, Tu Chu Nham.

Known for his relentless dedication, Luong was a hard worker throughout his life. When his health allowed, he contributed significantly to his community and workplace as a cook, bringing joy to many through his culinary skills. Luong's life journey brought him to South Hadley in 2021, while prior to that, he lived in Chicopee for several years.

He found great pleasure in simple joys, such as taking long walks, which allowed him moments of peace and reflection.

A gathering for family and friends to honor Luong's memory will be held on Saturday, August 17th, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home.

Luong Tu Nham’s legacy of hard work and dedication will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
