August 2nd, 1942 - February 19th, 2024
Mr. Luther Giron Middleton, age 81, a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. Mr. Middleton was born August 2, 1942 in Lexington, Tennessee to Luther Roosevelt and Ossie Thomas (Austin) Middleton. He was a Polk County resident since 1965 coming from Missouri. Luther was a retired Mechanist in the Fruit Processing Industry (worked for Brown’s Mechanist, Florida Refresh, Adams Packing & Kraft Foods). Luther was also a Commercial Fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 years – Mary Elizabeth Middleton; 2 brothers – Joneal Middleton & Basel Middleton; 3 sisters – Luseal Grissom, Bonnie Mae Hale & Nina Sue Middleton. Luther is survived by his loving family, son – Luther Thomas Middleton; daughter – Elizabeth Irene Harp; 2 sisters in law – Eula Middleton & Jeannie Middleton; 2 grandchildren – Krystal Elizabeth Bridegroom & Mary Shanell Harp; 4 great grandchildren – Tye Thomas, Eli Maddox, Kassie Grace & Blaze Cory. Graveside services will be held 11am Monday, February 26th at Auburndale Memorial Park.
