Lydia Villegas-Rubio, 59, of Greeley, CO passed away November 18, 2014 from injuries received in an auto accident. She was born October 7, 1955 in Greeley, CO to Ismael and Ruth (Ramos) Villegas. Lydia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. All that knew her; knew she was loving, strong and giving. Her most cherished time was laughing and joking with her husband, children and family. She loved gardening, flowering and taking care of all of her animals. Her smile, her joy, her strong faith and hope will always be in our hearts today, tomorrow and forever. You will be missed dearly! She is survived by her husband, Ricardo; daughters, Ambra, Betty Jo, and Sophia; son, Gabriel; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; parents, Ismael and Ruth Villegas; sisters, Bernice Dominguez, Debby Brandon; and brother, Rodney Villegas. Lydia was preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Josephine Ramos. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 followed by a Celebration of Lydia’s Life at 7 p.m., both at Journey Christian Church, 4754 W. 31st Street, Greeley.
