Lyla Kathryn Neubek (Linn) 04-24-1928, Chicago, IL. Beloved daughter of Kathryn Linn (Feil) and Leonard Linn. Devoted wife of William (Bill) Neubek of 54 years. Beloved mother of Dale Neubek of Chicago, IL and Nancy Piatt of Cape Coral, FL. Adored grandmother of Adam Piatt (Jeniver) and Ryann Lavenia (Mark). Cherished great grandmother of Blake Brady and Beckett and Avery Addison and Ashby. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish for 30 years, honored member of the Guild of Our Lady and Eucharistic Minister. Ever devoted to Our Lady and the Rosary, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mother Theresa. Talented seamstress, artist, soloist and choral singer. Proud homemaker whose home was a haven to family and friends. She wove beauty into everything she did, especially cooking and baking. She worked in retail sales, secretarial work and real estate management and volunteered time for countless worthy causes, generously sharing her energy and creativity. No challenge was ever too great. Each day began planning a kind deed, often several. She found resignation in her suffering and was loved by her many kind and generous caregivers, for whom her loving family and friends give sincere thanks. Donations may be made to Hope Hospice and/or the St. Vincent De Paul Society of SWFL. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 24 from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Rd., Punta Gorda, FL 33950, with a Requiem Mass to follow at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W Charlotte Ave, in Punta Gorda.
