Lyle L. Knurr Of Waukesha, passed from this life into Eternity on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Lyle was born in Big Bend, Wisconsin on February 4, 1924, the son of Fred and Edith (nee Schultz) Knurr. He lived his entire life in Waukesha County. Lyle married the love of his life, Dorothy (nee Eckel), on July 15, 1950. He worked on the family farm in Big Bend until he moved to Waukesha where he worked at Industrial Clutch for over 36 years and retired in 1988. Lyle was a faithful, dedicated and involved member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Waukesha. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and farming. Lyle will be forever remembered as a family man who loved being with his family. Lyle lived 32,250 days on this earth but he will live forever in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus. Lyle will be dearly missed by his wife of over 61 years, Dorothy; his children, Ellen (Dr. Jack) Spielman of Kenora, Ontario, Donald (Debbie) Knurr of Omro, WI, Linda (Rick) Kraemer of Waukesha, WI and Michael (Sally) Knurr of Mukwonago, WI. Grandpa Lyle will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his grandchildren, Carrie (Derek) Worrall, Sarah (Bob) Schrickel, Laura Knurr, Josh Knurr, Rebecca Knurr, Heidi Kraemer, Mark Kraemer, Beth Kraemer, Karlee Knurr and Kody Knurr; his sister-in-law, Donna Knurr of Waterford, Katherine Wendt, Ruth (Orville) Peters and Carol (Henry) Eckel; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Lyle was preceded in death by his brothers, Pat, Delbert and Raymond; and his sister, Lucille "Ceil" Foley. A visitation for Lyle will be from 4:00 PM until the 6:30 PM Service of Thanksgiving at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 S. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53188, on Friday, May 25, 2012. There will be a Celebration of Lyle's life following the service. The Reverend Peter Schmidt will officiate the service. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, S66 W14325 Janesville Rd (Hwy 24) in Muskego, WI at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lyle's name are appreciated by the family to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and School, 1205 S. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53188. Lyle served his Lord all of his life with gladness.
