Lynda L. Rogala, 73, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, March 17. Daughter of George and Viola Lambert, she was a lifelong resident of the Valley. She was devoted to the home she and her husband shared for over 40 years, while dreaming always of warmer climes, whether it was looking back fondly on the trip she made to Italy or looking forward each year to the family trip to the beach at Cape Cod. She was a woman of strong opinions and simple pleasures: a good book, a bit of chocolate, a dip in the pool on a summer day, and, more than anything, time spent with family. She is survived by her husband, Henry; her daughter, Amy Fricon, and her husband James, of Rochester, NY; her son, Christopher, and his partner, Aleiya Gafar, of New York, NY; her brother, Bill Lambert; and her grandsons, Jack-Henry Fricon and Lincoln Fricon. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 23, from 5 to 7 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13205, followed immediately by informal services. She will be laid to rest privately at Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Her family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To have a memorial tree planted in an area of need, or to send flowers for services, please use the Send Flowers link to the left. Online condolences may be left under Lynda's Tribute Wall.
