"Lyndia Joe Brough, 78, of South Hadley Massachusetts passed away July 20th, 2017 at Heritage Hall Nursing home in Agawam Mass after a long struggle with health issues. Lyndia was born November 30th, 1938 Pasadena California to the late Marvin Brinker and Opal Tippins. Having grown up in California and attended High School there Lyndia subsequently moved to Massachsetts and is married to Scott Brough. Lyndia is preceded in death by first husband Luther Pierce, Mother Opal Tippins, Father Marvin Brinker and, step-father Howard Tippins. Lyndia is survived by her loving husband of 26 years Scott Brough of South Hadley Massachusetts and Scott’s children Marsha and husband Doug Weaver with grandchildren Kevin and Kaylin Weaver of Alabama as well as daughter Marie of Chicopee Ma. Lyndia is also survived by; brother Mickey Brinker of San Antonio TX, Son Dean Pierce and wife Mary Joe of Agawam Mass, Daughter Lucinda and husband William Egan of Agawam Mass, Son Russell Pierce and wife Wendy of Staten Island NY, Son Ricky Pierce and companion Lynn Twardowski of Pittsfield Mass. and, Son Daniel W. Pierce of Minnesota. In addition, Lyndia is also survived by 10 Grandchildren; Steven Pierce, Michael Pierce, James Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Andrew Pierce, Amy Pierce, Kerri Egan, William Egan Jr., Allison Pierce and Emma Pierce as well as, 5 Great Grandchildren Nathan Pierce, McKenna Pierce, Finnegan Pierce, Henry Pierce and, Elle Pierce. Having lived in Covina California, Tipton Missouri, Fort Meyers Florida, Brimfield Massachusetts, Feeding Hills Massachusetts, Chicopee Massachusetts and finally South Hadley Massachusetts Lyndia is remembered having lived a led a very full life. Later in life Lyndia furthered her education at Holyoke Community College allowing her to fullfill her ambition of becoming an Executive Secretary. She had many hobbies; Painting, Playing piano, Opera, Quilting, Refurbishing antiques, and traveling. Lyndia was a very active member of a national motor home camping organization having assisted in the coordination of several major national events. She was also a contestant in the Miss Senior Massachusetts competition and a very active member of community affairs in South Hadley Mass. Through her career Lyndia worked as a health care provider and certified nursing assistant (CNA) at various facilities; City of Hope in Los Angles CA, Monson State Hospital - Monson Massachusetts, Heritage Hall nursing home in Agawam Massachusetts for 16 years, Life Care Center of Wilbraham Massachusetts 10 years advancing to the position of Executive Secretary. This was followed by more than a decade serving others as in-home life care nursing assistant to several individuals. There will be no public viewing private family services are being arranged.
