Lynette Ellen Fohr passed away unexpectedly from pneumonia on Monday, October 8, 2018, shocking and devastating to all who knew and loved her. Lynette was born on January 27, 1949 in Granite Falls, Minnesota to Russell and Mildred Peterson, joining older sister Joan. The family lived on a farm near Renville, Minnesota until 1952, when they relocated to Portland. After she graduated from Franklin High School in 1967, Lynette worked for Freightliner Corporation for several years, leaving to raise two boys, Jeffrey Russell Fohr and Taylor Louis Fohr. She was very active in the boys’ school activities, especially sports, serving as a timekeeper and head of the school sports organization. With the boys almost grown, she went to work as Administrative Assistant to the Business Manager of Local 290 Plumbers and Steamfitters, recently retiring after 22 years. Lynette will be remembered for her loyal devotion to many friends and family, and for her sense of humor. She was an avid football fan of the Green Bay Packers and especially her Oregon Ducks. Lynette was preceded in death by her parents and niece Lorae. She is survived by her sons J.R. and Taylor, sister Joan Williams, niece Leslie Cover and her extended family, as well as numerous cousins, great friends and Local 290 co-workers. Remember her with love and toast her life with a glass of red wine!
