December 5th, 1920 - January 7th, 2008
Walters, Lynford S., Jr., Lyn Bucky 87, of St. Petersburg, died January 7, 2008 at Palms of Pasadena under the care of Hospice. Born in Philadelphia, PA he moved to St. Petersburg in 1967. He was a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, having served over 30 years during WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was Protestant and enjoyed traveling, golfing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marian. Survivors include his wife, Sydney Anne; a son, Lon Walters, Sedona, AZ; a daughter, Lisa Hebert, Spring Hill, FL; a sister, Ruth Serafin, Glenside, PA; a step daughter, Karen Michael Lucas, Sarasota, FL; stepson, Tom Foley, Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation and gathering of friends will be held Friday, January 11, 2008 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Center, 2201 Dr. M L King St. N. Burial will follow Monday, January 14, 2008 at 10:15am at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
