Lynn Ralston, 80, of Elbert, Colorado, passed away on March 10, 2023 in Elbert, Colorado. He was born on December 31, 1942 to Charnelsa Greer Ralston and Everett Ralston in Kuttawa, Kentucky. Lynn went to high school at Tennyson, Indiana and graduated in 1961. He went on to earn multiple degrees from Evansville University, Miami University Ohio, and Central Missouri State University in Missouri. Lynn entered the United States Air Force in 1965 and retired in 1988. He then retired from the United States Olympic Men's Field Hockey Association. Lynn then ran his own business, Ralston Appraisal Services, where he was involved in land development in Colorado. He then retired to his home, Ralston Ranch. Lynn attended Woodmen Valley Chapel. He was involved in his local VA chapter, and supported the educational aspirations, sports, and adventures of his loved ones. He enjoyed aviation and flying his Cessna 150 over the beautiful skies of Colorado. He enjoyed having horses, longhorns, and cows, raising and bailing hay on his ranch, and donating beef to those in need. Lynn was an avid athlete and enjoyed all sports and the outdoors, but particularly enjoyed basketball. He is survived in his death by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Gail Ralston of Evansville, Indiana; his son, Kelly; daughter, Kimberly; his grandchildren, Charnel, Mackenzie, Finn, and Cooper; his sister, LaDon Lippert; and his brother, Carl Ralston. He is preceded in death by his brother, James Ralston; and his sister, Martha White. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 182 and/or Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10649.
