"PALMER, Mabel H (Laramee) LeBlanc of Knox St. died Friday at home. Born in Holyoke, May 6, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Laura (Rivard) and Henri Laramee. She lived in Palmer for 85 years and graduated from Palmer High School before attending State Teachers College at Bridgewater. She worked as a third grade teacher in both Palmer and Monson schools for 40 years. She was a member of Palmer Retired Teachers, a former chairman of Palmer Junior Red Cross and a founding member of the Cub Scouts Club in Palmer. She was also a communicant of St. Thomas Church. She is survived by 5 children George W.,Jr. of Palmer, Yvette A. Boyle & Simonne M. Duggan both of Concord, Collette S. Anderson of Arlington & Pierre J. of Palmer. She also leaves a sister Jeanne Page of Worcester as well as 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George Sr. (1984) Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from BEERS & STORY PALMER FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Main St followed by a mass St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial is in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 7-9p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 103 Fairview St. Palmer, MA 01069 or the the charity of one’s choice.
