Madeline Marie Jenks

Madeline Marie Jenks, 95, of Carmichael, California, passed into eternity September 6th, 2023 in Sacramento, California. Madeline was born February 21, 1928, in Los Angeles, California to Fredrick and Marie Jenks, where she grew up with her sisters, Eleanor and Frances. She attended Los Angeles Community College before going on to study and sing opera. She had various careers from working hospitality, insurance and went on to earn her real estate license. She was an amazing aunt to all her nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews and a friend to all who knew her. Her deep love of animals led her to become an avid supporter of animal rights and the ASPCA. While a passionate traveler, she always returned to her home state of California, where she lived her entire life. She attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Carmichael, CA. She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Bill Shugrue, Paul Shugrue, Mary Ann Nardecchia, Carole McDonald and Gary Kagel as well as many great nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on September 22, 2023 at 9:30 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Carmichael, CA. She will be interred at Calvary Cemetery in Citrus Heights, CA.
