"Belchertown - Mae Sue (Carmel) Consolini, 76, of Chestnut St. passed away surrounded by her family on September 23, 2012 at home. She was born February 17, 1936 in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Richard Stark and Simonne (Lescault) Carmel. Sue had lived most of her life in Springfield and moved to Belchertown six years ago. She was a communicant and very active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Springfield. She was an LPN for over 20 years working for many years at Mercy Hospital and later for Dr. Mudawar. In her leisure, she loved to cook for family and with her friends, enjoyed crocheting and loved flowers. Above all things she loved taking care of people and will be remembered for her heart of gold. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Bernard "Kikie" Consolini of Belchertown. She will also be missed by her loving children Deb Carabetta and life partner Carol of Orange, CT, Diana (Consolini) Shea and husband John of Belchertown and John Consolini and wife Nina of Hanson, MA. She also leaves her precious grandchildren Joseph, Thomas and Michael Shea and Victoria, Anthony and Vincent Consolini, many nieces, nephews and other family members. Family and friends may gather on Thursday, September 27th at 8:15 a.m at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home to follow for a Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m in St. Francis Church. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Main St in Agawam. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Donations may be made in her memory to the Belchertown EMS Association, 9 E. Walnut St., Belchertown, MA 01007. "
