Mae Don Woon Passed away on May 16, 2008 in Salinas, California. Born on February 4, 1924 in Tucson, Arizona. In 1950, the family moved to Salinas where she resided for the rest of her life. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Herman. Mae was the loving mother of Herman, Jr. and Cynthia. For years, Mae and Herman operated their grocery business, the Rodeo Market. Mae eventually rented the business and retired. Mae loved animals and had a natural green thumb. She had an uncanny ability to grow anything. She spent her retirement years enjoying her garden, surrounded by an assortment of pets, and managing financial affairs. Private Graveside Services were held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Salinas, California. A Memorial Service celebrating her life is being planned and will be announced at a future date. Contributions may be made in her memory to your local SPCA, are preferred.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
