Marjorie H. Herrick, 89 of Sun City Center, Fla passed away July 18, 2012. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1923 to Clara and Edward Heger. She attended Mt St Joseph and Withrow High Schools. She volunteered for the United States Navy Reserves from 1943 to 1945 as a dental technician. She married Albert L. Herrick in 1948. Marjorie was a faithful parishioner of St Francis de Sales Church in Lebanon, Ohio and loved to play golf with her husband, who became Judge Albert Herrick. When not busy raising five children, she tirelessly campaigned for her husband, who won five consecutive terms to hold his public office. She was fiercely protective and proud of her five children. Following her husband's retirement from the municipal court system, they moved to Naples, Fla and later moved to the golf community of Sun City Center. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons, J. Douglas Herrick and his wife, Robyn, Stephen E. Herrick and his wife, Cathy, and Christopher F. Herrick and his wife, Becky, two daughters, Cynthia Curtis and her husband, Carl Johnson and Jennifer H. Rose, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and two sisters, Dorothy Faust and Mariann Downing. She was greatly loved and will be carried in our hearts forever. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Boulevard, Sun City Center, Fla. She will be buried next to her husband, Albert in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sun City Center Emergency Squad, 702 Ray Watson Boulevard, Sun City Center, Fla 33573.
