Funeral Services for Maliyah Claire Scott, 18, of Lexington, SC, will be held Saturday August 28, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Andrews Lutheran Church 1416 Broad River Rd, Columbia, SC 29210. Her burial will immediately follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Rd Columbia, SC 29212. Her visitation will be held Friday August 27, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29072. At the request of the church please wear your face mask to the service. Maliyah was born on December 21, 2002 in Columbia, SC and passed away on August 20, 2021 in a tragic accident. Maliyah is well known for her sense of humor, love for animals, fiery personality, sense of style, but most of all her kind heart. Her beauty and contagious smile impacted many. She loved hard and left a mark on all those who were blessed enough to have her in their lives. She was a recent graduate from SCYCA and was on her way to following her dreams of going to hair school like her mother. She is survived by her mother, Mariko Clack, her grandparents, Mitzi Tokunaga-Clack and Tillman “Bud” Clack, Beatrice and Sherwood Tidwell. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, & other family, Renee Tokunaga, Terri Stewart, Jackie Zarbeck, and Sandy Brigham, Tommy Tokunaga, and Ken Tokunaga, Justin Mulvhill, Devon Mulvhill, Megan McNeill, Caroline Whatley, Stephen and Christine McNeill, Chloe McNeill, Connor McNeill, Logan McNeill, Jakobe Hall, Maci Whatley and her beloved dog and companion, Rosie. She was predeceased by her great grandfather Thomas Tokunaga.
