Manuela Sanchez-Serrano, age 88, of Gloversville, died Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.

She was born January 1, 1936, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Pablo Sanchez and Maria Serrano. She enjoyed writing stories and poetry and loved to sing. There is no one on this earth who possesses the kindness and patience this woman, who held and kissed and raised and loved us our whole lives, is blessed with. Even now I feel her love shower me like the sun, and I am eternally blessed to have seen her smile and know her grace.

Manuela was of Catholic faith.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Miguel Gonzalez; five grandchildren, Amanda, Frances, Nicholas, Jared and Raven; two great grandchildren, Michael and Skylar.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Frances Ramonita Holmberg; three sisters, Alicia, Antonia Iris and Luz Delia; and a brother Felipe.

A celebration of life will take place at a later time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, Gloversville, NY.
