Marcus A. Silberbusch
October 24th, 1936 - February 6th, 2012
Marcus Anthony Silberbusch, 75, of Viera, Florida, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at Wuestoff Hospice Care Center in Rockledge, Florida after a one year battle with cancer. Mr. Silberbusch was born October 24, 1936 in Patchogue, NY, the son of the late Mary and Otto Silberbusch. He attended Patchogue Medford High School and Oneonta College and was best known for his singing, gardening, karaoke, piano playing, card playing, wonderful sense of humor and dedication to his wife and family. A retired NY school teacher, he touched the lives of countless fourth grade students in his near 30 year career teaching in the William Floyd School District in Long Island, NY from 1961-1990. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 13 years, Beatrice. He was predeceased by his first wife, Penny. He will be missed by his sister, Judy Silberbusch, as well as his adoring children, Marc, of Longwood, Florida, Julie (Gacek) of Wheatfield Heights, NY; and Dawn (Neese) of Fletcher, North Carolina; and Bea's four children, Donald Bousson of Cape Canaveral, Florida; Jean Weinstock of Kings Park, NY; June Schait of Mattituck, NY; and William Bousson of Southampton, NY; and thirteen loving grandchildren, Victoria, Chase and Kelsey Silberbusch; Francis and Matthew Gacek; Glenn, Jr. and Jaclyn Neese; Sylvia and Josh Weinstock; Allison and Erik Schait; and, Katherine and Elizabeth Bousson. A visitation will be held at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Viera, FL on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community in Viera, FL on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Wuestoff Hospice Care Center in Rockledge, FL, www.wuesthoffhospice.org.
