Marcy Ann Shafer

Marcy received her angel wings on July 4th 2016 after a long extended illness. She was a longtime Tacoma resident. She was loving, kind, and generous. Always putting aside her needs to help others. Marcy loved Christmas, the ocean, cooking, antique stores, a game of scrabble or Yahtzee (which she usually won) and an evening at the casino. She is survived by her beloved children Michael and Brandy Matthews, and 4 grandchildren, mother Linda Nekeferoff, sisters Jamie LaCasse (Terry), Tanya Hall (Richard) and Denise Campbell, much loved niece KayCee Richardson and nephew Anthony Eriksen, also her longtime companion Greg LeBlanc and many extended family and friends. Proceeded in her passing is her father Tony Rome, and step father Don Nekeferoff. Aside from her family her great loves were her pets Paco, Polly, cocoa, and Tanner. All awaiting her at the rainbow bridge. Marcy is much loved and will never be forgotten. Her passing has left a void in all our lives, but we are most grateful for the gift of having her as long as heaven allowed. May angel wings surround her with the love she has given us. Per family request no services will be held. Private remembrance at a later time.
