Margaret "Marge" D. Banks

55, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2013 surrounded by her family. Marge was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on December 25, 1957. She was the daughter of Louis and Margaret Daigneau. She was married to Allen Banks for 27 years, and they had two sons, John and Aaron. She and her family have resided in Tampa since 1988. Marge Banks had recently retired from a distinguished 37-year career with the Defense Intelligence Agency and the United States Special Operations Command. She made significant contributions to the readiness of special operations forces around the world and the greater defense of this nation. She was a loving mother who enjoyed nothing more than being with her husband, her boys and her Westie, Lacy. She was also an avid Plant High School football fan. She will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever. Marge is survived by her husband Allen, her loving sons John and Aaron, her sister Murphy Flagg, her brothers Louis Daigneau and Peter Daigneau, her niece Erica Beall, her stepmother Doreen Daigneau and a host of beloved friends. Her parents Louis and Margaret Daigneau preceded her in death. The memorial service for Marge Banks will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Hyde Park United Methodist Church located at 500 W. Platt Street, Tampa, FL 33606 (813) 253-5388. The Rev. Sally Campbell-Evans will be officiating. A private Memorial Garden Interment will be held at a later date.
