A Funeral Service for Margaret Cardinal, 82 of Chico, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, in the chapel of Brusie Funeral Home. Margaret passed away on Feb. 19, 2011. She was born in Chico in on July 14, 1928 to Manuel and Mary Nunes. Margaret attended High School in Los Gatos, CA. She married Jack Cardinal March 23, 1952. Margaret worked at the Safari Motel and the Holiday Inn for 25 years. She loved to sing, do crossword puzzles, and birds. Margaret sang opera and sang Madame Butterfly. She is survived by her husband, Jack; son, Tim (Marilyn); a sister, Mary West; a niece, Barbara Rabo (Nick), and niece, Chris Suarez. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Brusie Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Margaret's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
