Margaret "Mickey" Elliott
June 12th, 1921 - January 26th, 2012
Kernersville- Margaret "Mickey" Harrison Elliott, 90, passed away January 26, 2012. Funeral services honoring her life will be held at 2:00PM Sunday February 5, 2012 at Cherry Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville with the Rev. Janet Dixon and Rev. Harry Sammons officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Gur cemetery. A native of Kernersville, she was the daughter of the late Lydia Lois Gordon and Junie Burton Harrison. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Woodrow Elliott, two sisters Gladys H. Wilson and Kathryn H. Albert, and one brother L. Clifton Harrison. She was retired from Adams-Millis Hosiery in Kernersville. Survivors include her loving nieces and nephews Sandra Reid, Keith Albert, Gwyn Grubbs, Ken Albert, Jimmy Wilson, and Richard Wilson all of Kernersville; Barbara Collins and Eric Harrison of Myrtle Beach SC; Charles Shore and Josephine Bell of Winston Salem; Jerry Smith of Raleigh; Henry Smith of Columbus OH; Cheryl Fisher of St. Joseph MO. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. The family would like to express a special thank you to Brighton Gardens of Greensboro and Community Hospice and Home Care for the wonderful loving care she received. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cherry Street United Methodist Church 117 N. Cherry Street, Kernersville NC, 27284, or Mt. Gur Cemetery Association P.O.
