February 7th, 1933 - December 26th, 2022
Margaret Estelle Monk, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2022. A celebration of her life will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Joe Senter officiating. A committal service will immediately follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Marion Monk, Sr. A visitation will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Margaret was born in Sylvania, GA to the late Charity and Fred Freeman. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marion Albert Monk, Sr.; son, Larry Monk; and daughter, Margaret Morgan. Margaret was a loyal woman, who worked at Robins Air force Base until retirement. She dedicated her life to serve her Lord and personal Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of Evergreen Family Fellowship Baptist Church where she enjoyed listening to the joyful hymns and reading the Lord's scriptures. Margaret was a kind mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Margaret is survived by her sons, Bert (Diane) Monk, Jr. and Jimmy (Mary) Monk; countless grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a host of extended friends and family.
