Margaret "Emoline" Fields

Margaret “Emoline” Fields, 91, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born on December 18, 1932 in Speers Ferry, VA to the late Zenith Patton and Sarah Edens Gamble. Emoline grew up in Kingsport and was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School. She was a devoted member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church. Emoline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, A.J., Billy, Eugene, Donnie, and Z.P. Gamble; sisters, Mayme Whitley, Ada Calhoun, Nancy Jones, and Peggy Ellis. Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Luchen Robert Fields; daughter, Teresa Smith and husband Brian; son, Randall Fields and wife Jennifer; grandsons, Preston Fields and Nolan Burns; sister, Norma Snodgrass; “adopted son”, Ronnie Greer; very best friend ever in the whole world, Karen Meadows; along with a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Bays Mountain Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Eastern Star Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Whitley officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
