Margaret "Peg" S. Geiger (née Finan) of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Woodbury, NJ, passed peacefully on June 24, 2024, at the age of 77.
Born on May 22, 1947, in Woodbury, NJ, Peg's life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering faith. Her infectious laugh and radiant positivity touched everyone fortunate enough to know her, illuminating countless lives with warmth and joy. As a teacher, Peg's dedication to her students extended far beyond graduation, embodying patience and care in her role as a teacher. She nurtured minds and hearts alike, leaving an enduring impact on generations of learners.
Throughout her courageous battle with multiple sclerosis spanning over 30 years, Peg never allowed her spirit to dim. Her love for life, family, and deep faith in God remained steadfast, inspiring all who witnessed her strength and grace. Beloved wife of Richard Geiger, Peg cherished every moment shared with him, forming a bond of love that transcends time. As a mother to Scott (married to Tara Geiger), Ryan (married to Lisa Geiger), and Lisa (married to Michael Carroll), and a cherished grandmother to Elliot, Emmett, and Julian, her love and support knew no bounds. Though she has left us, Peg's laughter, her passion for teaching, and her unwavering spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, a testament to a life lived with courage, love, and profound impact.
Peg's life will be commemorated with a viewing on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, located at 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Following the viewing, a Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 62 Delaware Street, Woodbury, NJ. Interment will take place at Wenonah Cemetery, Mantua, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Peg's memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
