Margaret Goddard
August 30th, 1921 - April 25th, 2015
Margaret Roberts Goddard, eternally loved by her husband, Major General Guy H. Goddard, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home at IRCC in Viera Fl., on Saturday April 25, 2015. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Goddard Rizek, of Satellite Beach, Fl, Guy H. Goddard Jr. and Patricia Wooten of Frederick, MD, John Richard Goddard of Alexandria, VA., and Margaret Terrell of Lynchburg, VA. Her youngest daughter, Rosemary Goddard died April 17, 2014 at her home in Baltimore MD. Margaret will be remembered by all as a beautiful, accomplished wife, mother and loving grandmother, great-grandmother to many and loyal friend to all. She was our family’s best witness of unconditional love and courage. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera, Fl. Her great friend Father John Britto of the parish will say the burial mass at Ft. Meyer, VA., where she will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery alongside her husband Guy at a date to be announced. Funeral arrangements are proceeding by Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass is scheduled at the Old Fort Myers Chapel in Arlington National Cemetery for Monday, November 2, 2015 at 3:00P.M. Rest in peace, oh loving mother, wife and friend. Your example of dignity, unconditional love and courage will remain with us all.
