Margaret M. Herrick

Mrs. Margaret M. Shaw Herrick, age 94, of Gloversville, died Tuesday morning, November 6, 2012 at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown. She was born February 3, 1918 in Hagaman, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel Shaw. Mrs. Herrick enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Irving Herrick, who died December 14, 2004. Survivors include: seven children: Larry Herrick of Gloversville, Delores Lamphere Dave of Broadalbin, Helen Shafer Richard of Gloversville, Harvey Herrick Sharon of Mayfield, Dawn Klingbeil Donald of Caroga Lake, Rebecca Baker of Moriah and Marsha Douglass John of Fonda;18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by: two children: Gary Herrick and Jackie Herrick; three brothers: Peter Shaw, Brownie Shaw and Dan Shaw and a sister, Ann Gray. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, November 9 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd; Loudonville, NY 12211.
