Margaret Anne Smith Keeton passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. She was born on Tuesday, June 3, 1924. Shortly after she moved to Manatee County with her parents, Dr. & Mrs. R.L. Smith, deceased. Margaret graduated from Bradenton High School and was married to W.M. Keeton, who predeceased her in November of 2004. They were married nearly 58 years. They were blessed with a son Wilham “Toe” David Keeton, deceased, and a daughter Patricia Anne Hoopingarner. Margaret was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf. She was a life member of Entre Nous Club and a member of the Bradenton Country Club. She is preceded in death by her sister Helen Smith Waldrop Betts and her brothers R.L. “Ted” Smith, Jr and Jack Smith. Survivors include, Patricia Hoopingarner (Brice) of Palmetto, Kyle (Desiree), Travis (Becca), Kelly (Ryan) Kennedy, Caleb, Allison (Ty) Matthews, Jordan and 6 great-grandchildren. Family will be greeting friends on Thursday, December 4th from 4 to 6 pm at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton.
