KELLY, Margaret Ann, 76, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015. Margaret was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Cambria Heights, New York most of her life. She attended St. Catherine of Sienna School where she was a member of the New York State Champion Band (1955-1956); graduated from St. Agnes Academic School in Rockville Centre, New York in 1957 and worked for Equitable Life Insurance in New York until her retirement in 1994. Along with lovingly caring for her mother and younger brother as their health declined, Margaret was always ready and willing to assist friends with health limitations. She was a lifelong and active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was Secretary/Treasurer of the Rosary Society until moving to Tampa, Florida in 2012 and becoming a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In retirement Margaret enjoyed traveling; shopping and visiting family. Her love of reading kept her constantly surrounded with books and was often teased about reading while stopped at a red light. In addition to her love for reading Margaret loved communicating with her many cousins throughout the country, as well as Scotland, where her parents were born and discussing detailed updates on their lives. She was a wonderful cook and would never arrive to visit friends or family without bringing something delightful to add to the table. Margaret loved family. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Neil and Ann Kelly and younger brother, John T. Kelly, a Vietnam Veteran. She is survived by her brother, James C. Kelly and wife, Claudia of Newtown, Connecticut; sister, Geraldine K. Chider and husband, Joseph of Wesley Chapel, Florida; six nieces, Dawn Coughlin and husband, Matt of Sandy Hook, Connecticut; Laura Ann Sorgie and husband, Joseph of Shirley, New York; Claudia Dene and husband, William of Sandy Hook, Connecticut; Kelly A. Chider of Tampa, Florida; two nephews, James Kelly and wife, Susan of Danbury, Connecticut and Michael J. Chider of Tampa, Florida. Margaret was dearly loved by family and friends and will forever be remembered for her sweet kindness and humor. A funeral mass will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Final resting place will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
