Margaret "Peg" M. Kirby
December 6th, 1913 - April 6th, 2014
"Belchertown - Margaret "Peg" M. (Ford) Kirby, 100, of Jackson St., died on April 6, 2014 in Elaine Center at Hadley. She was born December 6, 1913 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Edward and Flora (Muir) Ford. She has been a resident of Belchertown since the 1930's. Peg retired in 1985, after working for 29 years in the office of Town Tax Collector and Treasurer for the Town of Belchertown. She is survived by two sons, Edward Kirby, Sr. and his significant other Martha Barrett and Conrad "Connie" Kirby and wife Shirley all of Belchertown. She also leaves five grandchildren, Ted, Shawn, Cindy, Ricky, Sharon and Steven and ten great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Peg was predeceased by her husband H. Conrad Kirby and her daughter-in-law Diane Kirby. A Memorial Service will be held on Wed., May 28th at 6:00 p.m at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. A calling hour will precede the service from 5:00-6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Fund at Elaine Center at Hadley, 20 North Maple St., Hadley, MA 01035. "
