Margaret O. LeRoy

Margaret O. LeRoy, formerly of the Town of Florida, New York, passed away March 13th, 2006, in Wittman, Arizona, the day after celebrating her 91st birthday. She was born March 12, 1915 in Broadalbin, New York, and was a daughter of David and Helen Woodcock Olmstead. She graduated from the Oneonta Normal School in 1935 and taught school for over 30 years. She was a member of the Florida Reformed Church in Minaville since 1940 and lived in Minaville for 65 years. She enjoyed her last year and two months in Wittman, Arizona living with her daughter, Nancy. Her husband, George LeRoy, preceded her in death on March 30, 2000. They were married on August 19, 1939 and were married 60 years. She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Bahn of Morrisville, North Carolina, Nancy Utter of Wittman, Arizona and Joan Abell of Boca Raton, Florida; three Sisters, Eleanor Smith, Marion Cole and Jean Ciani; three sons-in-law, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive. Margaret loved her family, friends and her church. She had a blessed life and is now happy with the love of her life, her husband George. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Florida Reformed Church in Minaville, New York. Interment will be later in the spring in Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday March 17, 2006 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Reformed Church, 6255 State Hwy 30, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to the Town of Florida Volunteer Fire Dept., 6282 State Hwy 30, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
