Margaret C. Martin, 102, of Greeley, Co passed away May 8, 2011 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1908 in Loveland, CO to Jacob and Elizabeth (Hehn) Meintzer. She grew up in the Loveland area. On November 25, 1926 she married Henry Batt. He died in 1935. On March 15, 1938 Pastor Schoenhaar married Margaret and Adam Martin at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Greeley. Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting doilies and afghans, and cooked great German food. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and the Women’s Fellowship. She is survived by her daughter, Bernice (Rosco) Morrow; son, Dean (Carolyn) Martin; step daughter, Esther Kauffman all of Greeley; eleven grandchildren; several step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several step great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Henry and Adam; her parents; sons, Delbert and Don Batt; brothers, Phil, Henry, John, Ed, Rolland, Rudy; sister, Elizabeth; and stepchildren, Sarah Graham, Evelyn Ginther, Marjorie Martin, Walter Martin, and Ray Martin. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Adamson Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 3815 West 20th Street, Greeley followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to "St. John’s United Church of Christ” in care of AdamsonFuneral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
