Margaret "Marge" McFarlane left this earth to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. She celebrated her 101st Birthday 11 days prior to her death with family and friends. There was a story, and pictures, in the Leader Herald in their July 26th issue of the Sunday Paper about her 101st Birthday Celebration. She was born in Westfield, Mass. on July 17, 1914. She moved to Gloversville in 1934 and met her husband, Ralph. They were married July 17, 1937. Marge had two sons, Bruce and David. She is survived by her son Bruce of Falls Church, Virginia and her Granddaughter Amy McFarlane StAubin of Bowie, Maryland. She left Gloversville in 2007 and moved to Milton, Delaware to be closer to her son Bruce. She maintained her own apartment until she was 100 years and six months old and then moved in with her son Bruce. While in Gloversville she worked until she was 83. She last worked at the Eccentric Club and will be remembered for the "special" desserts she would make at home and bring into the club for what she called "The Guys". During her time in Gloversville she worked at many different places as a waitress. Marge is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, on January 2, 1973 and her son David on January 7, 1991. She had 4 sisters and two brothers. Only one sister, Florence Milburn, is still alive and living in Oklahoma City, OK. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Section #111 of Prospect Hill Cemetery (east side entrance of Kingsboro Ave) Gloversville. Mel Emurian will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Harrison Senior Living, 110 West North Street, Georgetown, DE 19947
