Margaret Grace (Huffman) Meek passed away September 4, 2015 in Olympia, WA. She fought a long battle with dementia and diabetes and is now at peace. Margaret was born on March 22, 1928 in Mohawk, Michigan, the fifth of eight children of Homer and Marie Huffman. Margaret’s family moved to Washington in 1932. She met John E. Meek while working in a store in Rochester; they were married on March 16 1951. Margaret was always very patient and had a sweet smile and a twinkle in her eye. She was the bookkeeper for the logging/land development company that she and John owned. She never complained a day in her life. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, solitaire and deluxe cheeseburgers from the Tumwater Eagan’s. She is survived by her husband, John E. Meek; siblings, Jerry Huffman, Betty Chan and Rose Brown; children, Joan (Miles) Naslund of Salol, Minnesota , John A. (Wilma) Meek, Larry (Vera) Meek, Roy (Cathy) Meek, Betty (Craig) Holt, Barb (Marc) Mueller, the last five of Olympia; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
