Margaret Helen Pierce
October 17th, 1931 - September 17th, 2023
Margaret Helen (Davidson) Pierce died of natural causes September 17, 2023 at St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center. Margaret was born in Berkeley, CA to Harold Alexander Davidson & Madge Hazel Davidson. She grew up in a small house in Healdsburg, CA and she and her brothers spent many happy summers on their grandparent’s ranch outside of Healdsburg. Margaret moved from California to Idaho in 1962 where she met Thomas Leland Pierce while attending the Rupert United Methodist Church in 1964. They married in 1965, blending two families resulting in 8 people at the dinner table. She was an excellent cook, always trying new recipes and making food interesting. Her grandchildren still have fond memories of the “Dirty Foot” cake. She worked side-by-side with Tom at their State Farm Insurance office in Rupert and on their small farm. She sang in the United Methodist Church choir while Tom directed for many years. He was also the director for the Snake River Flats barbershop chorus and Margaret created the beautiful backdrops for their annual shows. Margaret loved crafts and had no problem using a sewing machine, knitting needles, hammers, saws, electric drills, paints & canvas. Her paintings are unique as the subject matter was usually planets, moons, odd creatures, and exotic plants. She was preceded in death by her mother & father, her husband, and step-son Ronald L. Pierce. She is survived by brother Frederick Harry Davidson (Bella), Harold Alexander Davidson, Jr., daughter-in-law Roxanne (Rumple) Pierce, step-daughter Lynn M. Andrew, step-son Scott E. Pierce, daughter Marilynn B. (Morehouse) Endsley, son Scott H. Morehouse (Tammy), daughter Carolynn G. (Morehouse) McAllister (Kevin), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
