Margarita Esquivel de Valenzuela

On Sunday, January 7, 2024, Margarita Esquivel de Valenzuela, passed away at the age of 83. Margarita was born July 28, 1940, in Zacatecas, Mexico to Guadalupe Esquivel and Matlide Herrera de Esquivel. She married Jose Angel Valenzuela in the late 1950’s, together they had seven children, four boys, Miguel Angel, Enrique, Jorge and Daniel, as well as three girls, Maria Elena (Elena), Irma, and Martha. Margarita was known for her kindness, caring and giving nature, and love. She always helped anyone when and how she could. She could be found in the kitchen and was well known for her delicious food that was enjoyed by more than just her family. She enjoyed nature and had a knack for growing plants. She found her love for dogs later in life, and had several, her most loved was her dog Cous Cous. Margarita was preceded in death by her husband Jose Angel, and son Jorge. She is survived by her six children, Miguel Angel, Maria Elena (Elena), Enrique, Irma, Martha, and Daniel, many family members, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday February 2, 2024, at Riverside Funeral Home in Los Lunas, NM from noon to 2 P.M.
