Marge Hamilton

Marguerite (Margie) Lucinda (Hunt) Hamilton, Born May 28, 1916, Hartshorne, Oklahoma and died July, 2, 2015 at her home in Maumee, OH.  Margie moved from Oklahoma to Tucson, AZ in the early 1930's where she met her husband of 56 years, Dan Ervin Hamilton.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mary Jane ( Polk ) Hunt; her husband, Dan; and daughter, Betty(Hamilton)Drummond. She is survived by her brother, Buck Hunt of McAlester, OK; daughter, Barbara (Ed) Norton of Newark, TX; son-in-law, Robert Drummond of Maumee, OH; grandchildren, Scott, Dan, Judy, Patrick, Kari, Keli, and Kristi; 19 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews including Dick Hamilton of Tucson. Margie accepted Jesus as her Savior as a child and showed her love for Jesus in her life. She loved to talk about the Lord and to sing hymns and songs to Jesus. While living in Tucson, AZ, Margie attended First Nazarene Church, and later, Casas Adobes Baptist Church.  Margie retired from Hughes Aircraft Company in Tucson, AZ. Margie and her husband had a summer home in Lakeside, AZ. They enjoyed traveling with their grandchildren to Disneyland, San Diego and camping. They went regularly to visit their daughter, Betty and her children in Toledo, OH. Margie was an avid shopper and she used to tell her husband, she didn't care if he played golf two days a week, but that meant she got to shop two days a week!  Margie also loved to cook; she would fix a huge family Sunday supper every week and would always try out a new dessert recipe.  Margie was full of life until the very end and it was always an adventure to see what she had to say.  She was generous to a fault, and made holidays and special family occasions the best memories.  Margie will be buried on Friday July 10, 2015 at 10:00am at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
