Margie Ann Humphreys

Margie Ann Humphreys, 79, died April 14, 2016 in University Place. She was born September 4, 1936, in Tacoma WA to Fritz and Gertrude Hall. She met Preston Eugene Humphreys shortly after her graduation and they married in 1955. Margie lived most of her life in Tacoma except for a small time in Greeneville Tennessee with the Humphrey’s family. They were married for 61 years and had 5 children together. Margie worked as a telephone operator for many years and retired from AT&T at the age of 55. She enjoyed her early retirement. Her interests were family, sewing, reading and crossword puzzles. Margie is survived by her husband, Preston Eugene; her sister, Juanita Daugherty; her son, Buddy Humphreys; her two daughters, Denise Mueller & Deanna Hungerford and their spouses, Roy Mueller & Doug Hungerford; her 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Fritz Hall; her mother, Gertrude Hall; her son, Aaron Dean Humphreys; her daughter, Kathleen Diane Nations; her grandson William Dale Jordan. Per Margie’s request no memorial service will be held
