Marguerite Marie Juliette Harned

Marguerite Marie Juliette Harned, 86, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Life Care Center of Winter Haven due to heart failure. Born April 9, 1926 in Etusson, France to Arthur and Eugenie Pascreau Ronciere, She met the love of her life, post WWII and came to the United States in 1955. She moved here in 1976 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was the co-founder of Indian River Transport in 1974 and was the active CFO until her retirement in 2005. She was instrumental in growing the company to be one of the largest food grade carriers in North America. Marguerite was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven. Preceded in death by: her husband, John Joseph Harned in 1985 and a sister, Gisele Ronciere. She is survived by: her son, John Joseph Harned, Jr. and his wife Tara of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Gisele Marguerite Gauger and her husband , Jim of Orlando, FL and Donna Jane Harned and her husband Armando of Winter Haven, FL; a sister, Suzanne Champigny of France; and seven grandchildren, John III, Jennifer, Jessica, Katelyn, Zachary, Kelly and Maggie A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in her name to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 532 Avenue M, NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
