October 17th, 1917 - April 30th, 1980
Maria D. Acosta, 62, of Greeley, Co died Wednesday, April 30, 1980 at Memorial Hospital. She was born October 17, 1917 to Santos and Refugia (Rabolda) Tovar at Hondo, TX. Mrs. Acosta grew up at Uvalde, TX. She came to Greeley after her husband's death on March 9, 1971 to live with her daughter Annabelle. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Odelia Rios of Plainview, TX, Mrs. Oralia Flores of Evans, CO, Mrs. Olga Chapa of Tulia, TX, Mrs. Lupe Gonzales of Lamesa, TX, and Mrs. Annabelle Salazar of Greeley; three sons, Alex Jr. and Reuben, both of Greeley and Frank of Pueblo; two brothers, Jose Tovar and Aldopho Tovar both of Uvalde; 32 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Recitation of The Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 1980 at Adamson Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, 1980 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church followed by interment at Linn Grove Cemetery.
