Maria E. Candelaria
November 13th, 1964 - July 15th, 2020
Maria E. Candelaria, age 55, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 15, 2020. Maria fought a fierce battle against breast cancer for the last six years. She was born on November 13, 1964 to Edward and Irene Candelaria. Maria graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She worked for Albuquerque Public Schools where she helped many and was dearly loved by her students. Maria was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Parish. She had great faith in God and asked everyone around her "Pray for Me!" Maria is proceeded in death by her brother Edward Candelaria II, her father Edward Candelaria and her friend Denise Archuleta. She is survived by her mother Irene Candelaria, sister Sheryl Angell (Marshall), Aunt Patsy, Aunt Shirley (Richard), Uncle John (Debby), and Uncle Ernie and brother in law Dante. Maria is also survived by her nieces and nephew Ariel, Gabrielle, Raquel, Dante and Michelle. She was like a second mother to them and loved them with her whole heart. Maria loved to travel and to spend time with all of her friends. She will be greatly missed. Memorial service will be on Monday, August 10, 2020. Call family for details.
