Maria Fernanda Cardona

Maria Fernanda Cardona, 71 , of Tampa, Florida passed away January 16, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital , Tampa, Florida She was born on April 10, 1948 in Lares, Puerto Rico to Epifanio and Fernanda (Perez) Cardona. Maria loved to love and she did so with a heart of gold, this is evident by the vast amount of friendships which she cherished. She married Pedro Torres Sr. by whom she was gifted the love of her life, her beloved son Pedro Torres Jr. Seeking a more conducive environment, Maria decided to move her family to Tampa in the early 90's. She enjoyed 16 years working in the hospitality field with Marriott Hotels Inc. She enjoyed the interaction she shared with the guest as well as her many co-workers over the years. Maria is survived by her brother, William (Gladys) Cardona, and sister Cristina Cardona. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mr. Pedro Torres Sr. and her son Mr. Pedro Torres Jr., her siblings, Milagros Cardona, Lidia Cardona, Luz Maria Arroyo, and Israel Cardona. The family will receive friends at Florida Mortuary on January 20, 2020 from 6:00 PM -7:00PM . Funeral services will be at Florida Mortuary immediately following the visitation at 7:00 PM with Rev. Ulises Torres officiating. Maria love will be missed by her family and the friends in which she touched during her life's journey .
