Maria Angela Guzman

Mrs. Maria Angela Guzman, age 45 a resident of Davenport, Florida passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at AdventHealth Heart of Florida Hospital surrounded by her family. Mrs. Guzman was born December 10, 1977 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Nicola John and Catherine Diane (Saladino) Massa. She was a resident of Polk County since 2019 coming from New Jersey. Maria was an ESE Teacher at Horizon Elementary School in Davenport and a member of the Florida Teacher’s Union. She enjoyed going with her family to Disney, shopping, cooking and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her father, paternal & maternal grandparents, aunts & uncles. Maria is survived by her loving & devoted family, husband of 11 years – Christian Guzman; daughter – Maddison Guzman; mother – Catherine Massa; dad – Ralph (Fallon) Franco; brother – Erick Guzman; sister – Allie (Shawnna) Cocchia; aunt – Rosanne Saladino (Mike) Johns; numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. A celebration of Maria’s life will be held 10am Saturday, April 29th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9am.
