Maria Johnson

On January 1, 2020, Maria Johnson, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at age 85. Maria was born on January 18, 1934 in Kanonicze, Poland to Franciszek and Antonina Zawadski. She grew up on a farm where she enjoyed caring for the animals. In 1951, she and her mother immigrated to the United States. She worked in electronics assembly and worked her way up to the title of supervisor. Maria had a passion for entertaining, pulling out all the stops when it came to family gatherings. She was an avid cook, gardener and loved the outdoors, especially skiing and hiking. She was known for her loving heart, amazing rose garden, strong will and incredible work ethic. Maria was preceded in death by her father and mother, her siblings Peter, Roman, Lucian, Marcin, Antoni, Jan and Dominia, her husband Bryant Johnson and her son, Dennis Babiniec. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Greg) Armgardt, son James Babiniec, daughter-in-law Katherine Babiniec, grandchildren Alex (Amanda Joy) Babiniec, Sean (Ashley) Babiniec and Sara Armgardt, great grandchildren Ian, Gracee, Hope, Hannah, Benson, Camdyn and Elliette, step-children Pam Johnson (Dave) Gish, Doug Johnson, Gary (Sue) Johnson, and Bruce (Cindy) Johnson, and step-grandchildren Dan Gish, Amy Gish (Adolfo) Lee, Sabrina Johnson (Bud) Baylis, Kirsten Johnson, Matt (Christina) Johnson, Kalyn (Andrew) Macchia, Amber (Justin) Capaccio, and Kyle (Angie) Johnson. Maria will be laid to rest at Seven Stones, 9635 N Rampart Range Rd, Littleton, CO 80125
