Maria L. Romero

Maria L. Romero, age 93 a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 with all her loving family at her side. Maria was a caring stay at home mother who had 6 children: Helen Garcia, Oralia Chavez, Peter Romero, Jimmy Romero and Carlos Romero. Her son Danny Romero and husband Seferino Romero were preceded in death. She was born in San Marcial, New Mexico on: December 17, 1924 and her parents were Nemecio Lopez and Juanita (Padilla) Lopez. Maria was the last of her siblings to become deceased. She had 9 brothers: Nemecio, Miguel, Procopio, Trinky, Heraclio, Videl, Hermenes, Alex and Jose. She also had 4 sisters: Amalia, Agatha, Priscilla and Juanita. She enjoyed singing, listening to Spanish music, cooking and spending time with her family. She will deeply be missed because of her sense of humor and the loving person that she was. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren. Her grandchildren were: Daniel, Andrew, Lisa, Amy, Peter, Adrian, Sandra, Monica, Veronica, Frankie, Mario, Martin, Crystal, Marissa and Anthony. She also had twenty- four great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and 2 great-great-great grandchildren. She also had lots of nieces and nephews. Arrangements for Maria Romero are being handled at the Riverside Funeral Home in Albuquerque, NM. Her burial will be next to her deceased husband Seferino Romero at the Mt.
