Marian Doris Beshaler

Marian was born in Tacoma on May 21, 1932. She lost her courageous 8-year battle with multiple myeloma on January 22, 2013 at the age of 80. She was a resident of Midland nearly her entire life where raising five children was her career. A few years after her kids were grown and gone, it was joked that she began her second career of playing bingo—not sure which career she enjoyed more! Marian was preceded in death by Jim, her loving husband of 59 years, her parents Frank & Ingeborg Loucks, brother Frank Loucks and sister JoAnne Drath. She is survived by daughters Diana Boutwell, Donna (Jerry) Olson, Debra Beshaler and Nancy Beshaler-Gross (Jim Gross); son James, Jr. (Nancy Ann); grandchildren Jami Boutwell, Joel (Amanda Gjefle) Boutwell, Heidi (Tony) Smith, Eric (Telma) Olson, Ileana Beshaler and Marianna Brown and step-grandchildren Terry Boutwell & Tracy (Cory) Coccia; great-grandchildren Austin Price, Mikayla & Madelynn Olson, and Carter & Gavin Boutwell and step-great-grandchildren Tricia & Kylie Coccia and Kameron & Samantha Smith; sisters-in-law Lorraine (Jack) Peterson, Vivian Bell, and Delores Loucks. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends, including her bingo buddies. Her kind & loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Many thanks to daughter Debbie for her help in caring for our mama the past few years as her disease progressed. Our family would also like to extend our appreciation to Dr. M and staff at Rainier Hematology-Oncology, P.C., and Good Samaritan for the wonderful care mom received these past 8 years. There will be an open-house gathering to celebrate her life on Friday February 8th from 4:00-8:00 pm at ANA Huac Mexican Restaurant, 9002 Pacific Avenue. Donations in her memory can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We hope there is a bingo hall in heaven and mom’s number is in the window!
