Marian B. Findeison, 90, of Pinecrest Place, Largo, FL, and formerly of St. Petersburg, FL, died Sunday, December 4, 2005, at Largo Medical Center, after a long illness. Born in Holmes, Pennsylvania, she and her husband, William L. Findeison, moved to St. Petersburg in 1946. The parents of two children, Marian and Bill also cared for 28 foster children over a period of several years under the auspices of the Children's Service Bureau (now Family Service Centers). Five of those foster children became permanent members of their family. Marian Findeison worked as a teacher's aide at Disston Junior High and Boca Ciega Senior High Schools. Following her retirement, she became a freelance writer, published in the St. Petersburg Times, Tampa Tribune, Mature Years, Mature Living, Thanatos, War Cry, and other publications. She was a member of PINAWOR, the Pinellas Authors and Writers Organization. A founding member of Pasadena Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, she later became an active member of Seminole First Baptist Church. She was the dearly loved mother of seven children: Evelie Findeison Davis, Largo, and William F. Findeison, Tierra Verde, Elenora Rose Sabin, St. Petersburg, Carole Lange Esley, Camden, Maine, Barbara Carey Lavin, Beverly Hills, Florida, Patricia Fishman Breault, Malden, Massachusetts, and John Ray St. Clair, Clearwater. She was the beloved grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granddaughters. She is also survived by two brothers, Carl Boettger of Holland, Pennsylvania, and Ralph Boettger of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and two sisters, Lillian Ralston of Largo, and Evelyn Stewart of LeRoy, New York.
